Dr. Ahmad El Ouweini

Biography

Dr. Ahmad El Ouweini is a current clinical pharmacist (specialized in Internal Medicine and Antimicrobial Stewardship) in Lebanese American Medical Center Rizk Hospital.

Dr. El Ouweini completed his PGY1 Pharmacy residency at the Lebanese American School of Pharmacy and Lebanese American Medical Center Rizk Hospital. He completed his BSc in Pharmacy at the Arab International University in Syria and then pursued a BS Pharm and PharmD degree at the Lebanese American University. Prior to joining the LAU School of Pharmacy in 2014, Dr. El Ouweini practiced in Pharmaceutical Industry (Research & Development) in Syria and as an inpatient hospital pharmacist at Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital in Saudi Arabia. Between 2018-19, Dr. El Ouweini served as the chairperson of the Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office of the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation. He was also the recipient of the LAU’s president academic excellence award on behalf of the school of pharmacy in 2018. He is an active member of American Society of Health-System Pharmacist (ASHP) and American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).
